====== The Trail ====== //The Trail// will be a fantasy tabletop RPG...that's not meant to be played at the table. Features: - **Play anywhere:** The game is so rules-light that you can play it in a car, while hiking, or pretty much anywhere, without the need for any materials or equipment. You don't even need dice to play, although it does have a form of randomizer. - **Explore a dangerous wilderness:** In many fantasy games, PCs spend very little time actually experiencing their fantasy world, instead spending the vast majority of their time in a town or a specific location fighting monsters. In //The Trail//, wilderness exploration is integrated into the game, where the PCs must deal with specific wilderness encounters before getting to the lair of the monsters they're going to fight. - **Gain magic through adventuring:** In this world, magic can only be cast through artifacts (such as rings and amulets), which you can get by defeating monsters. Do you want to cast the //fireball// spell? Go to the abandoned temple of the fire god and defeat the elemental that guards it. I'm also planning a traditional tabletop version of the rules, complete with rules for using dice.
